Dubbed “El Fenómeno,” Dominican-born outfielder Oscar Taveras was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals at age 16, debuted in the big leagues in 2014 and drew the praise of all who saw him before an automobile accident ended it all. These shoes were worn and autographed by Taveras as he prompted superlatives during his 2014 rookie season. The red canvas “Under Armour” size ”11” accessories feature white rubberized logos on the heels and toes. Taveras has signed the toe portion of each in black marker (“both “8” strength) and inscribed “2014.” On the heel portion of each, Taveras’ number “18” is inscribed in black marker. There are eight metal cleats affixed to the bottom of each shoe. Moderate game use is evident with infield dirt caked about the bottoms. Full photo LOA from JSA (for autographs).
