With all of 14 career at-bats to his credit, 21-year-old Minnesota Twins prospect David Ortiz strode to the plate in the fourth inning of the September 14, 1997 game at The Ball Park in Arlington. Curiously thinner than the current specimen, Ortiz launched his first career home run to help propel the Twins to an 11-1 triumph. Encapsulated and Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. This full ticket was issued for that contest. One of three at its tier with none graded higher, this crisp voucher features printed seating/event details, opposing club logos and a strong perforation. This is an ideal addition to any BoSox or “Big Papi” collection!
