Extracted from a well-preserved accumulation which hasn’t seen the light of day in years, this significant lot includes (8) titles with all copies bagged and boarded with: Devil Dinosaur; The Eternals; The Eternals Annual, The Invaders Annual; Power Man; Red Sonja; Savage She-Hulk; What If; the (4) titles with all copies loose (not bagged and boarded) are: The Deep; Marvel Spotlight Vol.2; The Micronauts; Shogun Warriors.

All titles were published by the Marvel Comics Group 1976-1980. The Deep is a “Marvel Movie Special” adapted from the screenplay by Peter Benchley from the feature film of the same title. The Invaders Annual features cover art by Alex Schomburg, his first for Marvel in thirty years. The Marvel Spotlight title is the 1979 Volume 2, Issue #1 featuring Captain Marvel and titled in full as “Marvel Spotlight on Captain Marvel”. The Power Man Annual features Luke Cage. The What If issues are titled in full as “What If Spider-Man Joined the Fantastic Four?”.

This is one of several “warehouse find” comic book lots H&S is presenting in our current December, 2014 auction, with more to come in our February, 2015 auction. This entire “new to the market” hoard appears to be in unread condition and will yield numerous candidates worthy of grading submission.
