Heres an item you can run with. Offered is a pair of twice-signed c.1950-1951 Joe DiMaggio store model cleats. Manufactured by Endicott Johnson, these unused, size 4-1/2 baseball shoes display in immaculate condition with all sorts of DiMaggio endorsements, including (2) live signatures with one on the white accent strip of the right shoe (7) and the other on the attached tag (8-9). Also present is the original factory box which features DiMaggio with facsimile signatures on the lid and end panel label. Comes with SGC COA. More on our website.
The signed tag bears the same DiMaggio image as the lid and label along with two facsimile signatures, one on either side of the tag. Though the tag has a crease which passes through the second letter g of the surname, the live signature remains bold and appealing. Yet another facsimile signature is printed in gold beneath the statement "Designed and styled by" on the black sole liner insert of the right shoe. The box shows moderate signs of wear including tears on the south end of the lid and partial separation of the end flap that bears the label. Despite these condition the box graphics remain appealing and worthy of display. The label is stamped with style: 6101 and size: 4-1/2. The dating of this unique item is attributable to statements printed on the tag which read in part "Played 12 seasons with the New York Yankees....hitting 349 home runs". These totals reflect DiMaggio's totals through the 1950 season, indicating the cleats were manufactured after the 1950 season ended and before the 1951 season started.
