Champ Jack Johnson defended his crown in a scheduled 45-round contest on a scorching hot Havana day before a crowd of 15,000. The 37-year-old started strong but faded by round 20 and motioned for his wife Lucille to leave by round 25—leading to speculation that Johnson's 26th-round knockout may have been an attempt to throw the fight and thus be allowed safely back into the US. This 3-1/2 x 5-1/2" real-photo postcard boasts EX-MT condition with tremendous image quality.
